First impressions are that it really is a huge improvement over my old bag and the padding on the strap is in all the right place, which has always been a problem for me on my old bag, and padding in the back is luxurious (hopefully no more bruises on my back from objects digging in :-) It really does seem to fit in a very limpet like way, but all the straps then tuck away nicely. Having the laptop insert clip in works well and with the pockets and divider, everything feels allot more organised rather than having things rattling around. 

It also looks great! That Torrino font was a good decision :-) I'm really happy :-D 

I do however feel beaten. I thought I had a devious enough mind to be able to find the secret pocket, but... I've been over the whole bag several times and can't find it. Any chance of a clue? :-)

I'll let you know how I've got on once I've put some miles in with it loaded up. I'm actually looking forward to getting an awkward load to carry in it :-)

Thank you for sending the 'How-To' PDF's, they came in very handy. The bag is still great; in fact I'm sending some photos of it and me in action. This weekend I did a 75-mile ride in New Hampshire and Vermont to raise money for cancer research. It rained pretty much the entire time, with the weather alternating between downpours, showers, mist, light rain, and heavy rain- the sun made an appearance for the last 3 or so miles of the ride (uphill sprint to the finish). I rode my GT track bike, and did the whole ride fixed gear, and I brought the tools and supplies for the other 3 guys on my team, all in my PAC bag. Everything stayed dry despite 6 or so hours in almost non-stop precipitation and cold. As far as I know I was the only person to do the ride fixed, and to comfortably carry a large bag full of very dry tools, tubes, spare clothing and food.

First off, my Ultimate arrived today and I wasn't expecting it until much later in the week so needless to say, I am absolutely ecstatic!

Secondly, I could write pages upon pages on how wonderful your pacs are, how they are extremely over-built, the high quality feel, the comfort, the ergonomics and design, the attention to detail, the materials, the list goes on and on.... but I can sum it up into two words, THANK YOU!

I have been collecting packs for many many years and I always take several factors into account when I purchase a new pack. The Ultimate has set such a high standard with the build quality and design that I know for a fact I wont be able to find a comparable bag, anywhere. (and I hope I wont have to!)

To say I am in love with it would be an understatement! The worst part of this entire experience was waiting for it to arrive!!! BUT it was so worth the wait and the color design looks absolutely amazing as well, again, THANK YOU!

Thanks to your quick shipping my new ultimate bag arrived yesterday in fine condition. I can tell that I will enjoy all the improvements you have made to the bag. It really is much lighter and less "rigid" than my old bag and all of the finishing touches seem much more refined. Had to go the delivery depot in the end, as they tried delivering it to the wrong address yesterday even though I never asked them too... I'm not even sure they actaully tried myself... (they're SO crap!!!)

Anyway the 10k ride from the depot to work was a joy, even though the bag was heavy and packed due to holding my old faithful courier bag and the box the Pac Bag came in, it was still mega, mega comfy and it'll get loads comfier still once I get the miles in.

I can't thank you guys enough, the embroidery is SO cool too...

I'm one happy monkey, it was so worth the wait!!!

I want to let you know that I've been using my Pac for almost 9 years now (purchased spring 95 at Dukes on Queen)with great pleasure and comfort. I was a courier (Deliverance - TO) for 3 years and it served very well...lots of patches grooved it out and made it unique. I went on to return to school and it was the finest bookbag anyone had ever seen. Even with my stint in the forestry biz saw daily use for the bombproof bag. (A skidder actually drove over it...just a tiny tear in an interior pocket). I'm back in school again and it sees more bookbag duties...but is not above the odd case of beer. I love it and it goes wherever I go..riding or travelling. It pains me to say...I want another one but perhaps an updated design. Nothing wrong with this one...I'm just your average techie geek and all the innovations got me curious. I'll be a lifelong Pac user. Thanks.

I just got my black ultimate with gray interior and I must say I'm impressed, the attention to detail is awesome. Last night I noticed the velcro on the ends of each strap so they can be stuck out of the way. Very cool and this bag is full of nice details like that.

My only nit is that the bag itself is pretty heavy, talk about overbuilt. But that's a "problem" I wish I had with more of my stuff. For the truly detail oriented maybe you could post the empty bag weight next to the sizes and features on your website's comparison page (which is very helpful)? Maybe that's just me though...

It took three months to get mine (late Feb to late May) and I appreciate the no-charge X-strap and lock loop that you included to ease that wait. Thanks for doing that, being easy to talk to on the phone, stitching each bag individually and for making a great bag.

I got my new Ultimate Deluxe on the 18th '02. Used it on Monday for the first time, commuting to work. Wow! It is big! I can't even imagine how large the OS is! This bag rules on the bike. This afternoon my UltimateOS arrived! completing it's long journey to Australia!

WOW - it really is big!!!! but thanks the your strapping system it carries really nicely! (but I'm sure you knew that) Of course all I carried all afternoon was flat A4 :-((( but the "small box suit bike" will be here soon enough.

The finishing touches on the bag are great - it's the details that really set PAC apart - and they are even better up close. The internal divider has it's own floor!!! (wow that's more than I expected!) The roll holders work a treat.

Basically THANKS - the bag has already exceeded my expectations (which at the price were quite high - eSpecificationially in Aus$ :-)

The tube things are THE best - I've had clients impressed with them (and the fact that their tubes arrive in good order) as well as the other messengers. I had my first big load today - 5 lever arch files. No sweat... ... my only problem now that I have no excuse.

I'm not supprised you have only a couple of bags in Australia - our exchange rate means they cost about 4x the locally made bags (locally made in Vietnam [I think]), but the PAC straping system & detail stands out. Crumpler - from Melbourne - have just released a new version of their BEES KNEES bag, which is nice ... but... it's still basic for a professional bag.

Thanks again for such a great bag - I'll write a testemonial for you website once I've had a chance to really put it through it's paces.

This bag has been the best I've ever owned. I haven't done any messenger work in almost a year, but I still use my bag for everyday purposes. I'd have to say my favorite part of the bag is how watertight it is. I've been through some pretty hellacious water storms since I bought it (call it a self-destructive love of riding in the rain), and I've kept laptops, newspapers, and just about any other moisture-sensitive materials you can imagine completely out of harm's way. Truly the best bag I've ever owned, and most likely that I ever will own.

i have had my pat hip pouch for about 8 years it was the best pouch i ever had for waybills keys money pens everything and it is still in good working condition. many of the younger couriers ask where i got it from and i tell them as they ew and aw at it. thanks pat

Well the PAC has arrived and I cant stop smiling!!! I love it. I am still trying to find my way out of it d:-) It feels heaps natural when I wear it, you definately know how to make a good, comfortable bag.

Thanks heaps for all the extras, took a little while to work it all out, but the instructions made it easier. I Specificationially liked the waterproof satchel I found inside, that's definately going to be handy next winter. Thanks also for the stickers and extra catalougues, I handed out some of the stickers today, just need to copy the catalougue for a few friends. Like they say, seeing is believing, and now they all know why I insisted on a PAC over a cheap local bag. When I could finaly demonstrate the strap options to them I had them drooling all over the place. They love the quick release D-rings and so do I!!!

So, in short - I love the bag Pat!

Got my new bag on Friday, a Pac Ultimate oversize, the bag I've been lusting after for years. Friday was kind of slow, no more than seven tags at once, no big challenge. Saturday I played with it and learned how all the straps and buckles work and Monday I was ready. Slow day, nothing exciting; but then at 5:45 "34, night rate, tub-o-mail, Lawless & Co. (name changed to protect my career) to 401 Franklin" Yippee! I tell Nikki, the bartender to put my beer on ice; I'll be right back.

I get to Lawless et.al.: 118 envelopes, 9x12 inches, total about 90 pounds, going to the main post office. I loosened all the straps and stuck the envelopes in, tightened the waist belt, snapped on the "X"tra strap and rode back to the bar, the main post office is on the way home. 90 pounds and about 2 cubic feet of cargo and it didn't move on my back through 2 more Murphy's stouts and then 2 miles to the post office. Amazing, all the weight was on my waist, no sweat! Only problem is, we generally charge a box rate if it won't fit in my bag, now I will have to do it by what won't fit in a "normal" bag! Ross, #34

You have made a truly incredible piece of equipment for me. Everything thought out and logical. And the computer portion of the bag has totally blown me away -- it is so much more than I expected. One thing missing, though, is a second reflective tail -- could you send me another one with the hip pouch I ordered?

I knew I'd be impressed with your work -- but this is beyond anything I had expected.

I've been meaning to write for some time. Thank you for the bag, it's brilliant. It's as big a difference as was the step from old paperboy bas to my first cordura bag over 10 years ago.

I ordered the bag before I broke my collar bone and in retroSpecificationt that was very fortuitous. I could never have continued using my natural shoulder when I cam back were it not for your suspension system and I've used the X-tra strap, which I had "foisted: on me, at least once a week.

Really, it's made all the difference and continues to make life (back) on the bike a dream.

I quite literally stumbled onto your products when I was shown your catalogue by a British courier who is currently working with me in Perth. After seeing his PAC, I decided that I would take advantage of a friends trip to Canada and have a PAC made for myself (the best bag choice I ever made).

Anyhow, my friend's trip was extended as he got carried away by his itchy feet and I only got my brand new bright orange PAC Deluxe two weeks ago. But I love it already. It really has made life on a bike a shed load easier and I'll never look at another bag again and I'm sure I'll buy another it ever wears out before I do.

Enough said! Keep it going Pat cause I'm not sure of much but I know that the world needs more PACs.
